Primary English Teacher

Role and Responsibilities

• Plan and present well-structured lessons in accordance with the school's curriculum framework.
• Instruct students in English language and literature, covering grammar, vocabulary, reading comprehension, creative writing, and analytical skills.
• Incorporate innovative teaching techniques and utilize technology to boost student involvement and learning outcomes.
• Monitor and assess student progress through assignments, examinations, and continuous feedback.
• Create a welcoming and inclusive classroom atmosphere that promotes active participation and creative thinking.
• Guide students in developing strong oral and written communication skills.
• Coordinate extracurricular initiatives like reading clubs, debates, and storytelling activities.
• Collaborate with fellow educators to integrate English language teaching across different subjects.
• Assist students with exam preparation, competitions, and presentations.
• Maintain precise records of student achievements and communicate progress to parents during meetings.

Preferred Candidate Profile

• Bachelor’s degree in English, Education, or a closely related discipline; a Master’s degree is advantageous.
• Possess a teaching certification or diploma such as B.Ed. or its equivalent.
• Demonstrated experience in teaching English at the primary or secondary school level.
• Excellent command of English with strong communication and presentation abilities.
• Skilled in making lessons engaging, interactive, and accessible to students with varying needs.
• Familiarity with contemporary teaching practices, tools, and educational technology.
• Passionate about teaching and inspiring an appreciation for the English language.
