Role Purpose

The Porter position is focused on creating a welcoming, luxurious environment where guests feel at home while enjoying premium service and comfort. Attention to detail and genuine care ensure every stay is memorable and indulgent.

Key Responsibilities

• Support daily operations within Front Office and Housekeeping by greeting guests, assisting with cars, doors, luggage, lobby services, and security duties ensuring high standards and exceeding guest expectations.
• Deliver prompt, courteous, and efficient service during guest check-in, check-out, and throughout their visit.
• Manage guest and hotel account accuracy, ensuring timely charge postings.
• Assist with managing car and hotel doors as well as timely handling and delivery of guest luggage, including explaining room technology features.
• Handle guest vehicle parking responsibly, following procedural guidelines.
• Urgently deliver messages and faxes.
• Document and care for all guest property held in storage, whether short or long term.
• Process lost property reports by gathering necessary details and communicating with housekeeping.
• Maintain cleanliness throughout hotel public areas, including the lobby, forecourt, outlets, facilities, and conference spaces on a daily basis.
• Operate cleaning equipment carefully, reporting any faults according to procedures.
• Ensure corridors are clear of trays, linen trolleys, and cages at all times.

Qualifications and Skills

• Valid full New Zealand driver's license with a clean driving record.
• Strong organizational and professional presentation skills.
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment with a proactive approach.
• Previous customer service or cleaning experience in a hotel setting is advantageous.
