Role Overview
The PMO Manager will be responsible for overseeing New Product Development (NPD) projects from initial stages through completion, ensuring project milestones are met, and managing engineering change processes. This position is based in Coimbatore, Sulur.
Responsibilities
- Lead NPD projects through Stage-Gate methodology from Gate 1 to Gate 6.
- Oversee release, implementation, and closure of Engineering Change Requests (ECR), Engineering Change Notices (ECN), and Design Modification Releases (DMR).
- Manage Level 1 Prototype and Level 2 Pilot construction phases, coordinating engineering and supplier readiness.
- Drive Corrective and Preventive Actions (CAPA), resolve issues, and ensure design adjustments based on production feedback.
- Monitor project progress, prepare and distribute weekly MIS reports detailing shortages, milestone gateways, and key accomplishments.
Candidate Profile
- Degree holder (Bachelor’s or Master’s) in Mechanical, Automotive, or Production Engineering.
- Experience ranging from 3 to 15 years in New Product Development or Product Engineering.
- Familiarity with industries such as Off-Highway, Construction Equipment, or Heavy Commercial Vehicles.
- Proficient understanding of Product Lifecycle Management (PLM)/Product Data Management (PDM), Stage-Gate process, ECR/ECN systems, fabrication and tooling, and CAPA practices.
- Strong cross-functional leadership capabilities paired with excellent project management, communication, and reporting skills.
Additional Details and Terms
Applicants are expected to be comfortable working six days a week and be willing to relocate to Coimbatore. Face-to-face interviews will be conducted at the Coimbatore plant.
