Company Overview
Our client is a well-established international company operating in the process and production industry with a manufacturing site located in Saxony, Germany. The company boasts a long tradition in production and is actively investing in the technological transformation of its facility.
Key Responsibilities
- Overall accountability for operations, quality, safety, and the financial outcomes of the production plant.
- Primary responsibility for Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE) at the location; ensuring a strong Safety-First culture across all departments and monitoring safety KPIs alongside compliance with all environmental and occupational safety regulations.
- Ensuring delivery capability and product quality; managing the plant’s budget, including planning and executing investment initiatives.
- Leading all operational departments; driving departmental objectives with an emphasis on efficiency, productivity, and cost control.
- Overseeing the fully integrated production process; analyzing processes and cost structures to promote sustainable productivity improvements.
- Leading and developing an experienced, multifunctional leadership team; fostering a performance-driven culture grounded in responsibility, transparency, and continuous improvement.
- Managing an ongoing energy transformation project at the site; coordinating with regulatory bodies and utility providers to ensure sustainable energy supply.
- Representing the company to authorities, customers, and external stakeholders; actively participating in group-wide exchange forums.
Candidate Profile
- Degree in mechanical engineering, process engineering, or production technology, ideally complemented by business management knowledge.
- At least five years of leadership experience in a comparable position within a manufacturing company or process industry.
- Background in industries with complex, process-intensive production environments such as glass, ceramics, cement, paper, steel, or building materials.
- Demonstrable success in enhancing efficiency, productivity, and quality.
- Practical experience with Lean Management, 5S, and Shopfloor Management; strong competencies in project and change management.
- Technical credibility combined with strong leadership and communication skills.
- Change-agent mindset: actively drives change and confidently navigates organizational transformation processes.
- Fluent in German and good command of English; willingness to be present at the Saxony location.
