Role Summary

The Plant Manager role at the Hudson, NC facility within the Protective Packaging division carries full responsibility for plant performance. This senior leadership position demands excellence in safety, quality, delivery, cost management, and personnel leadership. The manager will set the facility's vision and strategic direction, develop organizational capabilities, and lead transformational projects that enhance operational performance and scalability. Strong mechanical expertise underpins decision-making to improve equipment and process reliability. This position is part of the operations leadership team, ensuring plant execution aligns with overall enterprise strategy.

Core Responsibilities

• Direct comprehensive site operations with accountability for safety standards, quality metrics, customer service, cost control, and financial outcomes.
• Formulate and communicate operational strategies translating business goals into actionable plans with both short- and long-term focus.
• Build leadership capacity by nurturing talent pipelines, enhancing team effectiveness, and promoting a culture of accountability and high engagement.
• Lead lean manufacturing transformations and continuous improvement efforts to boost productivity, minimize waste, and increase operational reliability.
• Drive change management initiatives to improve organizational agility and align cultural values with business objectives.
• Ensure a safe, zero-harm workplace while maintaining strict compliance with regulatory and environmental standards.
• Apply mechanical and technical knowledge to optimize plant assets, throughput, and process efficiency.
• Collaborate cross-functionally with supply chain, sales, and finance teams to meet customer expectations and business targets.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required; preference for technical disciplines.
• Minimum of 5 years progressive leadership experience in manufacturing, including at least 3 years as a Plant Manager or equivalent site leader.
• Track record of successfully executing operational and cultural transformations.
• Proven financial management skills with responsibility for plant-level profit and loss.
• Expertise in safety protocols, quality management systems, and operational best practices.
• Experience with Lean or Six Sigma methodologies; Green Belt certification or higher is preferred.
• Strong mechanical aptitude and expertise in optimizing industrial equipment and systems.
• Demonstrated ability to lead effectively within a complex matrixed global organization.

Compensation and Benefits

The salary for this position ranges from $110,400 to $190,670 annually, depending on experience, education, and alignment with internal standards. The role may also be eligible for performance-related bonuses and additional incentive programs.
