About the Role
We are seeking a seasoned Planning Manager to oversee and direct project planning, scheduling, progress tracking, and reporting for premium interior fit-out and construction initiatives across the UAE. This position suits professionals well-versed in project controls, scheduling, and managing contracts, ensuring projects adhere to timelines while proactively addressing potential risks.
Key Responsibilities
- Create and regularly update comprehensive baseline plans using industry-standard planning tools.
- Define the work breakdown structure (WBS) and set clear project milestones.
- Develop recovery and acceleration schedules as necessary to meet deadlines.
- Track actual progress against planned schedules, identifying and communicating risks, delays, and mitigation strategies.
- Collaborate closely with engineering, procurement, subcontractors, and site teams to gather precise progress updates.
- Generate weekly and monthly reports, including dashboards and upcoming schedules.
- Conduct critical path analysis to provide management with priority recommendations.
- Assist in preparing claims related to extensions of time, disruptions, and change variations.
- Review subcontractor timelines to ensure they align with the overall master schedule.
- Engage in project progress meetings with clients and consultants.
Qualifications and Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or a closely related discipline.
- Minimum of 8 years and up to 15 years professional experience in planning within construction or fit-out sectors.
- In-depth understanding of contract requirements, project sequencing, and construction methodologies.
Performance Metrics
- Precision in developing baseline plans and schedule updates.
- Consistent and timely delivery of reports.
- Early detection of project delays and risks.
- Contributions toward meeting project milestones effectively.
Compensation
Monthly salary starting from AED 25,000, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
