Role Overview
The Planning Engineer based in Saudi Arabia will take charge of creating and maintaining detailed project schedules and plans specifically for ICT and construction projects. This full-time, onsite position requires close collaboration with project managers, engineers, and suppliers to guarantee the efficient allocation of resources within set timelines. The role encompasses monitoring project progress, identifying any risks or delays compared to the initial plans, and generating regular reports, forecasts, and dashboards to aid project oversight and decision-making.
This role also involves streamlining production planning and workflow efficiency while consistently communicating with internal teams and clients to ensure compliance with project scope, budget constraints, and quality standards. Additionally, the Planning Engineer will play a vital role in enhancing planning methodologies continuously.
Qualifications and Requirements
- Proficient in planning and production scheduling to develop, revise, and optimize project timelines and resource distribution.
- Strong analytical abilities combined with project control skills for monitoring performance, mitigating risks, and facilitating data-based decision-making.
- Excellent communication skills to work effectively with diverse teams and produce clear reports on project updates.
- Experience within ICT, construction, or associated engineering sectors, including familiarity with project management tools such as Microsoft Project or Primavera.
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Project Management, or a closely related technical discipline, or equivalent industry experience.
- Capability to operate onsite in Saudi Arabia while juggling multiple projects and adapting to shifting project demands.
- Knowledge of related standards, safety protocols, and contractual processes is an added advantage.
- Fluency in English is required; ability in Arabic is a plus.
