Work Location
The role is based on the university campus in Sonipat, Haryana, within the NCR region of Delhi.
Role Overview
The Placement Specialist will support student placement and internship efforts by developing employer relationships, coordinating career engagement activities, and maintaining accurate placement records for the assigned school.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and expand partnerships with companies to open up placement and internship opportunities for students.
- Foster strong connections with recruiters and employers to support campus hiring at JGU.
- Keep placement and internship information for the assigned school current, accurate, and well-organized.
- Engage with industry professionals to arrange guest talks, industry sessions, and other career-related interactions.
- Review, track, and evaluate placement and internship results, including offers made and hiring patterns.
- Create reports, presentations, and supporting documents related to placement and internship activities.
- Work with faculty members and students to plan and execute placement and career development programs.
- Share timely updates and opportunity-related communication with students through the Office of Career Services (OCS).
Qualifications and Experience
- A master’s degree from a recognized institution is required.
- At least 3 years of relevant experience is preferred, especially in placements, corporate relations, or talent acquisition.
- Good awareness of hiring trends, employer expectations, and industry practices is important.
- Strong communication, interpersonal, and networking abilities are essential.
- Ability to build and maintain long-term relationships with corporate and industry stakeholders.
- Well-developed organizational and data management skills with strong attention to detail.
- A proactive, student-focused approach and the ability to perform well in a collaborative, fast-moving environment.
