Role Overview

The Photographer/Editor will create compelling photographic content for diverse organizational purposes, influencing a global audience and supporting the company’s mission. The role involves capturing events using sophisticated camera and lighting equipment and refining images through editing to ensure top-quality results.

Key Responsibilities

• Capture professional-grade photographs using expertise in composition and lighting.
• Enhance subjects' appearance with the use of natural or artificial lighting techniques.
• Edit and improve photographs with software applications, adjusting composition and visual elements.
• Maintain all photography equipment, ensuring full functionality and proper stock of supplies prior to fieldwork.
• Manage the security and upkeep of photography and editing tools.
• Systematically archive photographic materials and uphold a well-organized image database.
• Stay current with best practices and standards in photography and image production.

Required Qualifications and Skills

• Presentation of a portfolio demonstrating prior photographic work is mandatory.
• A minimum of 2 years of documented professional photography experience.
• Proficient knowledge of photography principles, including composition and lighting; owning gear is advantageous but not essential.
• Expertise in photo retouching techniques.
• Familiarity with Adobe Creative Suite tools such as Photoshop and Lightroom.
• Competence in studio, live event, and on-location photography.
• Experience working within a Mac OS environment.
• Graphic design skills are beneficial.
• Strong communication abilities to clearly understand project requirements and execute accordingly.
• Creativity combined with self-motivation and effective deadline management.
• Team-oriented with excellent collaboration skills.
• Physical stamina for prolonged standing and walking during events and capacity to carry heavy photographic equipment during travel.
