Job Summary
The Personal Support Worker (PSW) provides essential hands-on assistance with personal care and everyday living activities within client residences in the Greater Toronto Area. This role supports clients' physical wellbeing, hygiene, mobility, and overall comfort, contributing as a vital member of the care delivery team at Marquee Active Care. Coordination with scheduling and care operations ensures consistent, high-caliber service.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist clients with bathing, grooming, dressing, and toileting needs.
- Support client mobility and transfers, including proper use of mobility devices.
- Help with meal preparation and provide feeding assistance when necessary.
- Provide reminders for medication administration aligned with client care plans.
- Monitor and document any changes in client conditions and report issues promptly.
- Perform light housekeeping tasks related to maintaining client care and safety.
- Adhere continually to infection prevention, safety standards, and Marquee Active Care care plan protocols.
Qualifications & Requirements
- At least one year of experience as a PSW in home care, long-term care facilities, retirement homes, or hospitals.
- Completion of a recognized PSW certification program (Ontario).
- Current Vulnerable Sector Check clearance.
- Up-to-date First Aid and CPR certifications.
- Two professional references from previous caregiving positions.
- Fluency in English is required; additional languages are advantageous.

- Good judgment in identifying and escalating health or safety concerns.
Working Conditions
Work is conducted in individual clients’ homes, with shifts potentially scheduled during daytime, evening, overnight, or weekends. The role demands physical activity including assisting with mobility, transfers, and personal care tasks.
