Role Overview
The People Development Training Specialist plays a crucial role in enhancing employee skills and performance across Four Hands’ Distribution Centers and Art Studio. This position focuses on creating and delivering practical, engaging training programs that enable employees to work efficiently, safely, and consistently. Collaborating closely with leaders, this role helps standardize processes and ensure workforce capability.
Key Responsibilities
- Identify training needs and set clear objectives for learning programs.
- Develop, curate, and facilitate skill-building sessions for frontline and operational staff.
- Design comprehensive training materials including guides, job aids, and interactive learning tools.
- Lead instructor-led, virtual, and hands-on training sessions effectively.
- Manage training schedules and monitor employee participation and outcomes.
- Create adaptable learning solutions to accommodate diverse learning styles and requirements.
- Partner with management to pinpoint performance gaps and operational training needs.
- Engage directly on the production floor to observe workflows and enhance employee performance.
- Coordinate onboarding, cross-training, and job-specific training, improving initial employee engagement.
- Collaborate with experts to translate institutional knowledge into accessible learning resources.
- Support use and compliance with SOPs, work instructions, and operational documentation.
- Participate in training related to new technologies, equipment, and procedural updates.
- Conduct periodic reviews of training content and SOPs to maintain relevance and accuracy.
- Use surveys, interviews, and data analysis to evaluate and improve training effectiveness.
- Maintain training records and manage content within the Learning Management System (LMS).
- Report on training metrics including participation and impact.
- Stay up to date with industry trends, learning technologies, and best practices in adult education.
- Contribute to People Development projects and initiatives.
- Perform additional related duties according to training and qualifications.

Ideal Candidate Profile
- Bilingual proficiency in English and Spanish, with effective communication skills across diverse teams.
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Learning & Development, Education, Organizational Development, HR, Business, or related disciplines.
- Minimum of 5 years’ experience designing and managing training within manufacturing, warehouse, distribution, retail, production, or similar environments.
- Proven expertise in creating and delivering frontline employee training.
- Skilled in developing SOPs, process documentation, and training materials.
- Strong understanding of adult learning theory, instructional design, and learning technologies.
- Experience handling Learning Management Systems (LMS) including administration and program maintenance.
- Exceptional facilitation, communication, and interpersonal skills, with an ability to influence all organizational levels.
- Competent in assessing training needs, measuring outcomes, and driving continuous improvement with data.
- Experience adapting training methods to accommodate diverse learning needs is advantageous.
