Stellenbeschreibung

About the Role

Wio Bank is building a distinctive digital financial platform that is reshaping how banking works across the MENA region. The product is designed to simplify personal and business banking through connected services that help people spend, save, and plan more effectively.

In this role, payroll is treated as a core trust function rather than a routine back-office task. You will be accountable for accurate, compliant end-to-end payroll delivery and for ensuring employees have a smooth and reliable experience every cycle.

Key Responsibilities

You will manage monthly payroll from start to finish, including salary processing, allowances, deductions, overtime, and related transactions for the relevant legal entities.

You will review and apply payroll inputs such as new hires, exits, salary changes, promotions, unpaid leave, attendance corrections, and benefit updates before each pay run.

You will calculate final settlements in full, covering gratuity, leave encashment, notice pay, recoveries, and statutory deductions with high accuracy.

You will prepare payroll registers, bank transfer files, and GL summaries for Finance within the required timelines, and you will also carry out reconciliations and audits to support internal controls and data accuracy.

You will keep employee master records, payroll files, and employment changes updated in the HRMS while maintaining strict confidentiality.

You will administer payroll-linked benefits and deductions such as medical insurance, pension contributions, loans, and advances, ensuring they flow correctly through payroll.

You will ensure payroll operations remain aligned with UAE Labour Law, pension rules, and internal policies, while identifying risks or discrepancies early.

You will prepare reports on payroll, headcount, compensation, and workforce metrics for Finance, management, and regulatory needs.

You will act as the main contact for employee questions about payroll and benefits, resolving concerns professionally and within agreed service levels.

You will also support HR operations with onboarding, contract handling, employee documentation, and HRMS administration, and contribute to process improvements, system upgrades, automation work, and UAT testing where needed.

Requirements

The role calls for at least 1 year in the current position.

Prior payroll and HR compliance experience in the UAE is required.

You should be highly skilled in Excel and MS Office.

Strong attention to detail and solid organizational ability are essential.

You must be able to manage confidential and sensitive information with discretion.

Clear communication skills are important, with the ability to work confidently with both employees and leadership.

A bachelor’s degree in Finance or HR is preferred.

Experience with an HRMS or reconciliation platform is an advantage.

Previous exposure to complete payroll operations in a fintech or banking setting is also beneficial.

Familiarity with payroll automation or process enhancement initiatives is a plus.
