Role Overview
The Payroll Officer position is a full-time, on-site role located in Jiddah. This role entails comprehensive management of payroll operations, including preparing and executing payroll for all staff, ensuring the accuracy of salary computations, deductions, and benefits. The officer is responsible for payroll taxation and statutory payments, maintaining accurate payroll documentation, and reconciling payroll information with financial systems. Daily duties include handling employee payroll questions, collaborating with HR and Finance departments to ensure timely updates of employee data, and assisting with audits and adherence to local labor and tax laws. Additionally, the officer will produce consistent payroll reports and participate in initiatives to improve payroll procedures for enhanced precision and effectiveness.
Qualifications and Requirements
- Expertise in payroll management and end-to-end payroll cycle handling.
- In-depth understanding of payroll taxes, compliance, and regulatory mandates.
- Basic finance knowledge encompassing reconciliation, reporting, and accounting fundamentals.
- Strong communication skills to effectively manage employee inquiries and work cohesively with HR and Finance teams.
- Meticulous attention to detail, integrity, and discretion in managing confidential employee information.
- Competence with payroll software and Microsoft Excel; familiarity with HRIS or ERP platforms is beneficial.
- A diploma or bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or a similar discipline.
- Prior payroll or finance experience, preferably within Saudi Arabia and in line with local labor legislation.
