Role overview

This is a full-time Parcel Sorter position within the Parcels division. The working hours are Monday to Friday, 11:00 am to 7:30 pm. In this role, you will help handle freight safely, support on-time delivery targets, and contribute to a damage-free service standard.

Key duties

• Safely load and unload freight while keeping it secure.
• Support branch performance targets by scanning freight accurately and efficiently using On-time.
• Check that all paperwork travelling with the freight is complete.
• Use equipment in a safe, competent, and appropriate way.
• Manage bay labels, re-stack damaged freight, and protect leaking items.
• Build and maintain positive working relationships.
• Communicate clearly and work well in a team setting.

What you should bring

To succeed in this position, you should be physically fit, work well with others, and have some background in freight handling. A strong focus on health and safety is important.

Preferred experience and knowledge

• Previous experience in the freight sector.
• F endorsement licence is preferred but not mandatory.
• Experience operating a long fork is preferred but not mandatory.
• Understanding of dangerous goods regulations is preferred but not mandatory.
