About the role
Volkswagen Group is looking for a Paramedic to support the Health Services team at the Salzgitter site in Lower Saxony, Germany. The main purpose of the department is to protect and improve employee health in a lasting way. The team provides medical support for accidents and other urgent situations, ranging from help with minor complaints and wound care to advanced emergency medical treatment. The role also supports the first Volkswagen battery cell production facility currently being built at the site.
You will join an experienced, committed team and help ensure that employees receive dependable occupational medical care and emergency response support.
Role responsibilities
- Handle day-to-day duties in the on-site medical clinic and related emergency medical services, including the use of medical equipment and advising patients professionally.
- Carry out emergency care activities that fall within the scope of a qualified paramedic.
- Implement physician instructions correctly, including the safe administration of prescribed medication.
- Give injections and vaccinations.
- Train and guide company first aiders.
- Work in a three-shift rota.
Candidate profile
- Completed paramedic training is required; a state-recognized nursing qualification is considered an advantage.
- Hands-on experience in emergency medical services is expected.
- Certification as an occupational first aider is beneficial.
- All requirements under the German Infection Protection Act must be met.
- A valid Class C1 driving licence is required.
- German proficiency at C1 level and English at A2 level are required.
- You should bring a strong service mindset, the ability to work well in a team, and a dependable, responsible approach to work.

Work setting: This is an on-site role at the Salzgitter location.
Working time: The position follows a three-shift system and a 35-hour week.
