Painter

Role Overview

This position is responsible for surface preparation and painting work across walls, ceilings, furniture, and other property surfaces. The role involves using brushes, rollers, spray guns, and related equipment to deliver clean, durable finishes that meet property standards.

Key Duties

• Apply paint, stain, varnish, and other finishes to walls, ceilings, furniture, and similar surfaces using the right tools and methods.
• Use primers or sealers on newly prepared surfaces before finishing coats are applied.
• Remove existing coatings through stripping, sanding, wire brushing, burning, or abrasive/water blasting as needed.
• Protect surrounding areas with suitable coverings during work and display paint warning signs where required.
• Clean, organize, and properly store paint supplies, tools, and equipment after use.
• Work with vendors to adjust or match paint, stain, or varnish colors when necessary.

• Follow company policies, safety rules, and security procedures at all times.
• Report maintenance issues, hazards, incidents, or injuries promptly, and complete required safety training and certifications.
• Maintain a neat, professional appearance and respect confidentiality and company property.
• Greet and respond to guests in line with company service standards, including supporting guests with disabilities and addressing service needs promptly.
• Communicate clearly and professionally with coworkers and guests.
• Support team objectives and uphold quality expectations and standards.
• Carry out other reasonable duties assigned by supervisors.

Physical Requirements

• Be able to reach overhead and below the knees, including bending, twisting, pulling, and stooping.
• Climb and work from ladders when necessary.
• Handle objects of different sizes and weights with control.
• Lift, carry, push, pull, and place items weighing up to 50 pounds without assistance.
• Stand, sit, or walk for extended periods.

Qualifications & Skills

• A high school diploma or equivalent is preferred.
• At least 1–2 years of relevant painting experience is required.
• Strong understanding of painting methods, materials, and equipment.
• Ability to work both independently and collaboratively.
• Good physical fitness, including the ability to work at heights when needed.
• Knowledge of workplace health and safety practices.
