Role Overview
This full-time, permanent position based in Athlone, County Westmeath, focuses on the diabetic eye screening program. You will be working primarily in eye photography, capturing detailed images of the retina to help identify retinal damage caused by diabetic complications. This role is an excellent entry point for those interested in healthcare or individuals currently in healthcare wishing to expand their expertise. You will receive comprehensive support from a skilled team including senior diabetic retinal technicians, team leaders, administrative staff, and clinical leaders throughout your development.
Key Qualifications and Skills
- No prior experience is necessary; full training will be provided.
- Valid full clean Irish driver’s license is required, along with a secure location to park a company vehicle.
- A commitment to excellent patient care and positive health outcomes is essential.
- Proficiency with computers is necessary, including familiarity with word processing, spreadsheets, and Microsoft Office applications.
- Ability to take initiative and prioritize tasks effectively, using strong problem-solving skills.
- A diligent work ethic and proactive mindset are necessary as the role involves considerable autonomy after initial training.
- Strong communication skills across all levels are important.
