Role Overview
The Operations Manager will be responsible for leading the daily operations of the business unit, combining strategic leadership with hands-on support. Preferred candidates hold a valid CDL-B license, enabling them to operate roll-off trucks as needed to ensure smooth execution of business operations.
Primary Responsibilities
- Recruit, train, and inspire team members to provide exceptional customer service, applying leadership qualities synonymous with military experience.
- Manage day-to-day business functions including route scheduling, equipment management, and logistics to meet company goals and growth objectives.
- Oversee financial performance by tracking budgets, profits and losses, and key performance indicators, making informed decisions to promote franchise success.
- Ensure full adherence to DOT, OSHA, and environmental regulations, fostering a workplace culture centered on safety and accountability.
- Directly operate roll-off trucks when necessary, supporting route coverage, training, and critical operations.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with customers, vendors, and community stakeholders.
Qualifications
- Possession of a valid CDL-B license is preferred but not mandatory.
- Demonstrated leadership experience, ideally as a Non-Commissioned Officer or Officer, with a history of team management and operational improvements.
- Background in logistics, transportation, or related sectors is highly advantageous.
- Comprehensive knowledge of compliance and safety regulations such as DOT and OSHA.
- Excellent communication, problem-solving, and leadership abilities.
- Flexibility and resilience to balance administrative duties with hands-on field involvement as required.
