Job Description

This newly created Operations Manager position exists due to ongoing expansion and operates within a multinational PLC-backed company with an annual turnover of approximately £125 million. The Balingen location is relatively small but growing rapidly, emphasizing a hands-on leadership approach. The successful candidate will be responsible for directing warehouse, logistics, inventory management, and customer fulfillment activities in a fast-paced, technical distribution setting.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage and oversee warehouse operations and logistics for high-volume, technical inventory.
• Ensure accuracy and compliance in handling thousands of SKUs, including safety-critical aerospace components.
• Lead operational teams by motivating, training, and developing staff to enhance performance.
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives focused on KPIs, operational efficiency, and customer satisfaction.
• Collaborate effectively with UK and international suppliers and customers using proficient English communication skills (minimum B1 level).

Candidate Requirements

• Demonstrated experience managing fast-paced warehouse or industrial distribution operations.
• Proficient English speaking and writing skills at least at B1 level to interact confidently across international stakeholders.
• Proven leadership abilities in warehouse and supply chain management roles, handling complex inventories.
• Strong competencies in operational excellence, including continuous process improvements and KPI management.
• Ambition to grow professionally, with opportunities for advancing into senior leadership positions given business expansion at around 18% annually.
