Role Overview
This full-time Office Administrator position, based in Stockport, involves overseeing routine office functions. Key responsibilities include managing incoming communications such as calls and emails, maintaining filing systems and records, scheduling client appointments and employee shifts, as well as coordinating office supplies and equipment. The role also supports team members with administrative duties, assists with client correspondence, and aids in the preparation of reports, documents, and presentations. Additional duties involve welcoming visitors, organizing office setups, liaising with external vendors, and ensuring the office environment remains professional and orderly.
Work Hours and Compensation
The role requires 40 hours per week, on-site, with shifts either from 7:30 AM to 4:00 PM or 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM. The salary is £28,000 per year plus benefits.
Qualifications and Skills
- Demonstrated expertise in office administration, including organizing workflows, record management, and supporting daily operations.
- Proficiency with office equipment and common software tools such as Microsoft Office, email platforms, calendars, and spreadsheets.
- Strong communication abilities to write clearly, speak confidently, and work collaboratively with both colleagues and clients.
- Excellent customer service skills focused on professionalism, responsiveness, and maintaining positive relationships.
- Detail-oriented with effective time management, capable of prioritizing multiple tasks within a fast-paced setting.
- Ability to work independently and reliably from home when needed, supporting a hybrid working model.
