Night Hygiene Operative

Overview

Join the West Devon Abattoir team at the Hatherleigh site as a Hygiene Operative tasked with maintaining high cleanliness standards within various production zones. The role involves rotating through different zones monthly to cover all cleaning requirements comprehensively. Complete on-site training will be provided to equip you with the necessary skills across all areas of the position.

The position offers a 40-hour workweek starting at 16:30 and ending around 01:30, with overtime paid at 1.5 times the basic rate. Casual attire is appropriate, and there are two unpaid breaks during each shift.

Responsibilities

• Maintain cleanliness and hygiene standards throughout production areas.
• Rotate duties monthly across different cleaning zones.
• Work under supervision and report to the Hygiene Team Leader.
• Participate in full training to ensure competency in all aspects of the job.

Requirements

• No prior experience or qualifications are necessary as full training is provided.
• Candidates must be able to work beyond 10pm during shifts.
• Applicants must be eligible to work without requiring company sponsorship, as overseas sponsorship is not offered.

Terms & Conditions

• Hourly wage is set at £13.50.
• The schedule consists of a 40-hour workweek with overtime paid at a rate of 1.5 times the hourly wage.
• Shift hours typically run from 16:30 to approximately 01:30.
• Two unpaid breaks are included per shift.
