Role overview
This position sits within the Sales & Marketing function at Marriott International in Doha, Qatar. The role is focused on supporting guest reservations, loyalty-related requests, and revenue-generating sales activity across multiple properties while maintaining the brand’s service standards.
Key duties
- Handle guest calls, questions, requests, and concerns, and route issues to the right team such as Sales, Data Administration, or Accounting when needed.
- Apply selling methods that increase revenue while protecting guest loyalty, including suggestive selling and upselling where appropriate.
- Offer complimentary items or gestures to guests when suitable, such as rewards points, tickets, or gift certificates.
- Support awareness of the brand both within the hotel and externally.
- Process Marriott Rewards point redemptions and manage reservation requests, amendments, and cancellations received by phone, fax, or mail.
- Enter loyalty and guest information into the relevant system when booking reservations.
- Respond to guest communications in a timely and professional manner.
- Carry out general administrative tasks for Sales & Marketing, including filing, emailing, typing, and faxing.
- Assist in coaching and motivating team members, while acting as a positive example for others.
- Follow company rules, procedures, confidentiality standards, and asset-protection practices.
- Welcome guests according to company service standards and respond proactively to service needs.
- Communicate clearly and professionally, including proper telephone etiquette and accurate written documentation.
- Build cooperative working relationships and help the team work toward shared goals.
- Observe the work of others to help ensure quality standards are met.
- Interpret information in different formats and perform physical tasks involving objects up to 10 pounds without assistance.
- Complete any other reasonable duties assigned by supervisors.
Preferred qualifications
- A high school diploma or GED equivalent is preferred.
- At least 2 years of relevant work experience is required.
- No prior supervisory experience is needed.
- No license or certification is required.
