Role Overview
We are seeking a motivated Mortgage Loan Closer to join our team at our Spokane, WA office, with remote work options available. This full-time role focuses on preparing and processing documentation related to loan closings, mortgage modifications, construction rolls, pay outs, and extensions to meet timely and accurate delivery standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare and process complete, approved loan documentation and ensure timely delivery to lenders and customers.
- Generate precise loan documents for submission to lenders.
- Provide backup support for mortgage loan application data entry using automated documentation software.
- Manage processing of pay outs, mortgage modifications, endorsements, and construction loan rolls.
- Input Home Mortgage Disclosure Act (HMDA) data for approved loans.
- Maintain current knowledge of and actively promote the bank's financial products and services.
- Serve as backup support for other positions within the Mortgage Processing Area as needed.
Qualifications and Skills
- High school diploma or equivalent required; additional technical training in computer systems, banking applications, or lending preferred.
- Exceptional attention to detail, strong organizational and time management abilities.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Flexibility to work varied hours as business needs dictate.
Work Environment and Physical Requirements
The position requires physical abilities to perform essential job functions, including extended periods of sitting or standing, manual dexterity for computer operations, occasional walking, bending, stooping, kneeling, climbing, and the ability to lift items weighing up to 10 pounds. Visual acuity including close and distance vision, color perception, peripheral vision, depth perception, and focus adjustment is necessary.
Compensation
Hourly pay ranges from $31 to $33, contingent upon knowledge, skills, experience, and location.
