Modular Furniture Supervisor

About the Role

Dreamspan Ventures Pvt. Ltd. is seeking a skilled Modular Furniture Supervisor to manage both factory production and on-site installation of modular furniture. The incumbent will be responsible for ensuring efficient manufacturing processes, maintaining high-quality standards, and completing projects within scheduled timelines.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee daily production activities aligned with approved designs and production plans.
• Prepare machine-ready production drawings or complete requisite training to gain proficiency.
• Supervise manufacturing stages including panel cutting, edge banding, CNC drilling, assembly, packing, and dispatch.
• Conduct thorough quality checks before shipment and installation of furniture units.
• Coordinate effectively with Production, Stores, Procurement, Design, and Installation teams to facilitate smooth operations.
• Supervise onsite installation work and promptly resolve any execution challenges.
• Maintain comprehensive records including production logs, site progress updates, and material tracking.
• Enforce safety protocols, uphold quality benchmarks, and ensure delivery punctuality.
• Manage manpower productivity to optimize utilization of human resources.
• Identify and address production bottlenecks to enhance operational efficiency.
• Ensure correct handling and storage of raw materials and finished products to reduce damage and waste.
• Support initiatives aimed at continuous process improvements to boost productivity and quality.

Required Skills and Competencies

• In-depth knowledge of modular furniture manufacturing methods.
• Ability to interpret AutoCAD and furniture production drawings accurately.
• Familiarity with machine drawing preparation is advantageous, with training available.
• Understanding of materials such as plywood, MDF, HDHMR, particle board, laminates, veneers, edge banding, and furniture hardware.
• Experience operating or supervising production machinery including CNC routers, panel saws, edge banding machines, drilling machines, and assembly tools.
• Strong leadership capabilities and team management skills.
• Excellent communication and coordination skills for cross-functional teamwork.
• Basic proficiency in MS Excel and MS Word.

Eligibility Criteria

• 3 to 8 years relevant experience in modular furniture production supervision or site execution roles.
• Preference for experience overseeing both factory production and onsite installations.
• Willingness to travel to project locations as required.
