Job description
Role Overview
Birbal AI is seeking a seasoned Mobility & ITS Technical Lead to join their team in Abu Dhabi. The ideal candidate will bring a wealth of experience in transportation, Intelligent Transport Systems (ITS), and mobility, demonstrating a strong history of collaboration with transport authorities and operators.
Key Responsibilities
- Possess a minimum of 12 years of substantial professional engagement in transport, ITS, or mobility sectors.
- Have at least 5 years of direct work experience connected with organizations such as transport authorities, roads authorities, or transit operators.
- Successfully deliver projects across at least three core areas, including but not limited to traffic management and control, public transport operations and planning, driver and vehicle licensing, vehicle inspection, enforcement, transport planning and modelling, or mobility data platforms.
- Lead or contribute significantly to at least two projects focused on deploying or specifying ITS field systems, traffic management centre systems, or transport data platforms.
- Expertly define and manage operational key performance indicators (KPIs) for transport systems, such as travel time reliability, incident clearance time, on-time performance, and compliance rates.
- Demonstrate proficiency in both written and spoken English to effectively communicate within the team and with stakeholders.

The position is based in Abu Dhabi and requires onsite presence. Candidates will need to showcase their extensive domain expertise and leadership capabilities in the transport and ITS fields.
