About the Role
We are seeking a seasoned Microsoft Power BI Senior Technical Lead to oversee the design, development, and rollout of large-scale Power BI solutions. This role demands profound expertise in Power BI, SQL Server, data modeling, dashboard creation, and team leadership. The candidate will collaborate with business units, lead projects, and mentor developers to ensure excellence.
Key Duties
- Lead technical teams responsible for delivering comprehensive Power BI solutions.
- Design, build, and sustain interactive Power BI dashboards and reports for enterprise use.
- Collect and interpret business requirements from various stakeholders.
- Enhance SQL queries, stored procedures, and optimize database performance.
- Maintain data accuracy, governance, and reporting compliance standards.
- Mentor and provide technical direction to junior team members.
- Diagnose and resolve issues related to Power BI and SQL implementations.
- Implement best practices for data visualization and analytics techniques.
- Keep abreast of emerging Microsoft data technologies and suggest process improvements.
Mandatory Skills and Experience
- Proficient in Microsoft Power BI and MS SQL Server.
- Strong capability in data modeling, DAX, Power Query, and SQL optimization.
- Experienced in developing dashboards and reports with a focus on user interaction.
- Demonstrated ability in team management and guiding technical teams.
- Skilled in stakeholder engagement and communication.
- Minimum of 8 years of IT experience predominantly in BI and Analytics.
- Hands-on expertise in Power BI development and SQL database management.
Desirable Skills
- Familiarity with Microsoft Power Automate, Azure Databricks, Azure Data Factory, and Microsoft Fabric.
- MCSE certification in Data Management & Analytics is an advantage.
