Role Overview

We invite applications for the role of Showroom Inspection & Merchandising Executive. This position is responsible for maintaining consistent branding and merchandising standards across multiple distributor showrooms in various African markets. The role involves regular showroom assessments, ensuring display compliance, initiating corrective measures, and providing structured reporting to headquarters.

Responsibilities

• Conduct periodic inspections of distributor showrooms to verify adherence to company guidelines covering product assortment, sample room conditions, display units such as racks and shelves, lighting setups, sanitary ware placement, and overall showroom cleanliness.
• Identify areas of non-conformance and recommend actionable improvements to distributors.
• Oversee the implementation of corrective actions and track their completion.
• Assist in merchandising activities for new product launches and enhancements to showroom imagery.
• Capture 8 to 10 standardized photographs per showroom highlighting critical display and sample room features.
• Document findings, corrective steps, and completion status in comprehensive inspection reports and submit summarised evaluations periodically to the company headquarters.
• Collaborate closely with internal teams including Sales, Marketing, and New Product Specialists, as well as distributor representatives to address showroom concerns effectively.

Qualifications and Experience

• Possess a Bachelor’s degree or higher, preferably in Marketing, Retail Management, Business Administration, or a related discipline.
• Hold between one to three years of relevant experience in showroom inspection, merchandising execution, or auditing of retail stores.
• Background in ceramics, building materials, or sanitary ware sectors is highly advantageous.
• Exposure to handling distributor relationships and managing operations across multiple markets is a plus.
