About the Role
Join Alignerr as a Mechanical Engineering AI Trainer collaborating with leading AI research institutions to enhance the capabilities of advanced AI models. This role invites mechanical engineers to utilize their specialized knowledge in a flexible, impactful position that transcends conventional engineering tasks.
Key Responsibilities
- Devise complex engineering challenges spanning finite element analysis, heat transfer, fluid dynamics, kinematics, thermodynamics, and materials science to rigorously test AI reasoning capabilities.
- Develop thorough, stepwise technical solutions that act as definitive references for AI training and evaluation.
- Assess AI-produced designs including CAD schematics, thermodynamic validations, and material selections for precision, safety, and conformance to established standards like ASME and ISO.
- Detect and report logical inaccuracies such as incorrect force distributions, breaches of energy conservation, or unsound structural hypotheses to refine AI model output.
- Operate autonomously, managing schedule and tasks asynchronously with full flexibility.
Candidate Profile
- Master's degree or PhD candidate in Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, or closely allied disciplines.
- Fundamental expertise in at least one area: solid mechanics, fluid mechanics, thermodynamics, CAD/CAM, or manufacturing technologies.
- Effective written communication skills to articulate intricate physical concepts and technical processes clearly.
- Meticulous attention to mathematical derivations, unit consistency, and physical system integrity.
- Self-motivated and adept at independently navigating complex, open-topic projects.
- Prior experience in AI is not mandatory.
Desirable Qualifications
- Background in data labeling, technical assessment, or quality control methods.
- Experience using engineering software such as SolidWorks, ANSYS, or MATLAB.
- Knowledge of engineering regulations and standards.
