Mechanical Engineer - Remote Contract

Position Overview

We are seeking a Mechanical Engineering Subject Matter Expert to join on a contract basis, working remotely. This role involves analyzing complex mechanical engineering problems, evaluating AI-generated technical content, and providing expert feedback to improve AI outputs. The commitment ranges from 10 to 40 hours weekly, with hourly compensation between $80 and $100.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough analysis and problem-solving across diverse mechanical engineering disciplines.
• Review and verify the accuracy and completeness of AI-produced technical materials.
• Apply expert engineering judgment to practical design and analysis challenges.
• Provide constructive technical critiques to refine AI model outputs.
• Evaluate engineering designs for manufacturability and adherence to industry standards.
• Produce detailed documentation explaining engineering decisions and rationale.

Experience and Qualifications

• Possess a Master’s or Doctoral degree in Mechanical Engineering or a Bachelor’s degree supplemented by relevant industry experience.
• Experience leading mechanical design, product development, or research and development projects.
• Track record of successfully delivering mechanical products or systems to manufacturing stages.
• Strong expertise in areas including Engineering Mechanics, Thermodynamics, Fluid Mechanics, Heat Transfer, Vibrations, and Manufacturing processes.
• Professional-level English communication abilities, both written and spoken.
