Mechanical Design Engineer

Position Overview

We are looking for a seasoned Mechanical Design Engineer with extensive experience in building services design to augment a project team based in Qatar.

Key Responsibilities and Skills

• Design and develop mechanical systems including plumbing, drainage, irrigation, firefighting, foul drainage networks, stormwater infrastructure, and hydraulic systems.
• Apply comprehensive knowledge of QCS, QCDD, KAHRAMAA, Ashghal/PWA, and NFPA standards to ensure compliance.
• Use AutoCAD and Revit MEP tools effectively for design tasks.
• Utilize hydraulic and design software such as WaterGEMS, SewerGEMS, StormCAD, or equivalents in project execution.
• Coordinate mechanical building services design with other disciplines and maintain strong communication channels.

Requirements

• 5 to 8 years of professional experience in mechanical design projects within consultancy roles.
• Mandatory UPDA/MMUP approval.
• Strong ability in designing various mechanical building service systems.
• Excellent communication and coordination capabilities.
