Role overview
Forum Auctions is hiring a proactive and imaginative Marketing Assistant for a temporary 2-month assignment supporting a busy marketing team during a high-volume auction period. The company is a London-based auction house focused on modern prints and editions, rare books, and manuscripts.
This position is suited to someone with around 1-2 years of marketing experience who wants practical exposure to digital campaigns, social media, content development, email marketing, and coordination work in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.
Location, schedule, and contract details
Workplace: Battersea, London, with a hybrid arrangement that requires a minimum of 3 days per week in the office.
Contract length: 24th August 2026 to 23rd October 2026.
Pay: £12.71 per hour.
Closing date for applications: Thursday 9th July, 5pm BST.
During the contract, the marketing manager will be away for 3 weeks, and the successful candidate must be able to take responsibility for delivering the full marketing schedule during that period.

Key responsibilities
The role covers a wide range of marketing support tasks, including social media planning and publishing, campaign asset creation, content scripting, video production, email marketing, website updates, reporting, and cross-team coordination.
- Plan, create, schedule, and publish content for Instagram, LinkedIn, Facebook, and YouTube using Later.
- Produce marketing assets such as short videos, carousels, static graphics, and promotional posts for sales and events.
- Research auction lots, develop scripts, and write content for filming, while coordinating approvals with the relevant departments.
- Record and edit short-form video content for social channels in line with current platform trends and best practice.
- Support email campaigns in SendGrid, including preparing content, testing, scheduling, and reviewing results.
- Update website content through the company CMS.
- Track social media results and engagement, then use insights to help guide campaign priorities.
- Prepare short reports and presentations for senior leaders covering campaign performance, competitor activity, and key metrics.
- Work with specialists across different departments to deliver auction marketing campaigns and brand stories.
- Support auction-day operations when needed.
- Handle ad hoc marketing and administrative tasks linked to advertising, partnerships, and promotions.
- Help keep all marketing communications consistent with the brand.
Requirements
- A background in Marketing, Communications, Business, Media, or a closely related subject, either through study or recent graduation.
- Genuine interest in digital marketing, social media, and content production.
- Comfort using social platforms and awareness of current content trends.
- Basic experience filming and editing video, using tools such as CapCut, Final Cut Pro, or similar software.
- Strong writing skills and careful attention to detail.
- Good organisation, a proactive attitude, and the ability to manage several priorities at once.
- Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively with different teams.
- Experience with email marketing platforms, especially SendGrid, would be beneficial.
- Interest in AI tools and new marketing technologies would be an advantage.
