Role Overview and Responsibilities

• Study and comprehend app functionalities, workflows, business logic, and back-end/API dependencies.
• Develop and update testing strategies, test case documents, and checklists for all app features and workflows.
• Conduct manual testing, including functional, integration, UI/UX, exploratory, and regression tests.
• Verify end-to-end processes involving mobile platforms, back-end services, APIs, and third-party systems.
• Perform testing on various devices, operating systems, and versions using both real devices and emulators/simulators.
• Carry out smoke and sanity tests for new versions and pre-release validation.
• Ensure accuracy and completeness of app store release builds, including metadata, links, and deeplinks for Play Store and App Store.
• Support user acceptance testing alongside product teams and document defects with detailed reproduction steps and logs.
• Establish and maintain automation frameworks (UI and API) targeting regression and smoke test suites.
• Automate core user workflows such as login, registration, payments, search, checkout, and notifications.
• Integrate automated tests with continuous integration/continuous deployment (CI/CD) pipelines to run nightly and pre-release tests.
• Create scripts for test data preparation and cleanup to ensure reliable automated test runs.
• Produce and distribute comprehensive test reports with coverage details, pass/fail statuses, and screenshots.
• Continuously enhance automation scripts focusing on execution speed, reliability, and maintainability.
• Monitor and communicate QA metrics including test coverage, defect density, and automation framework health.

Required Qualifications and Skills

• Proven expertise in testing mobile applications for iOS and Android platforms using real devices, emulators, simulators, and cloud device services.
• Experience crafting and executing detailed test cases, scenarios, and checklists.
• Solid understanding of API testing utilizing tools like Postman and REST/GraphQL interfaces, plus relevant automation frameworks.
• Hands-on experience with test automation tools such as Appium, Flutter Driver, Detox, Selenium, or Maestro.
• Familiarity with CI/CD environments including Bitrise, GitHub Actions, or Jenkins is advantageous.
• Good grasp of testing types including regression, smoke, exploratory, and performance testing.
• Ability to configure and maintain test environments and adequate test data management.
• Knowledge of version control systems like Git and defect tracking platforms such as Jira, TestRail, or Zephyr.
• Proficiency in analyzing application logs, crash reports, and troubleshooting issues.
• Basic programming and scripting abilities in languages such as JavaScript, Python, or Dart for automation tasks.
• Fluency in English and Russian languages.
