Overview
Join the development team at a leading healthcare institution to plan and coordinate with various stakeholders and consultants, ensuring that hospital operational needs align with the organization's strategic goals. This role involves spearheading technical coordination meetings, stakeholder reviews, and project alignment efforts to facilitate the smooth and timely delivery of hospital infrastructure. The position is offered as a five-year contract with renewal potential.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and monitor the timely collection of project requirements by liaising effectively with multiple parties including consultants, the employer’s agent, users, and contractors to ensure adherence to project timelines.
- Guide users in hospital planning and drive productive discussions throughout design, construction, and post-construction phases, ensuring cross-functional coordination with medical equipment and maintenance teams.
- Manage the comprehensive capture and resolution of user requirements, securing approvals and sign-offs on milestone documentation at various project stages while maintaining precise records of meetings and decisions.
- Oversee contractors and address site issues collaboratively with stakeholders during construction and post-construction periods.
- Participate in budget planning and control efforts to ensure designs are aligned with approved timelines and financial limits.
- Work closely with the project team to ensure structured and compliant project administration.
- Ensure all processes align with current cluster and institutional policies, producing thorough and accurate documentation.
- Facilitate effective information coordination and dissemination.
- Perform secretariat duties related to project operations.
- Stay informed on healthcare planning trends to support hospital development objectives.
- Undertake any additional responsibilities necessary for hospital development.
Qualifications and Skills
- A degree in Construction Management, Architecture, Civil & Structural, Electrical, Mechanical Engineering, or related building industry discipline.
- Minimum of eight years relevant experience, ideally with a strong background in project management.
- Healthcare sector experience is highly advantageous.
- Demonstrated leadership ability and strategic planning skills.
- Strong analytical and project management competencies.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills to collaborate effectively with diverse stakeholders.
- Proven ability to manage time efficiently, multitask, be resourceful, self-driven, and motivated.
- Excellent written and oral communication capabilities.
