Job description
Role Overview
Based in CPS Singapore (Tuas Bay), this individual contributor position reports to the Senior Director of the ASP GDI Center and is pivotal to driving innovation and operational excellence within The Coca-Cola Company's APAC Innovation Center. The focus is on transforming formula intelligence by overseeing product formulation compliance, advancing regulatory adherence, and optimizing digital transformation efforts.
Key Responsibilities
- Ensure all product formulas and ingredients strictly comply with relevant food safety regulations and company policies.
- Lead thorough examinations and validations of Product Approval Requests (PARs) to maintain regulatory and business standards.
- Act as the technical authority on formula intelligence, overseeing ingredient data protection and quality assurance for product specifications.
- Develop comprehensive dashboards integrating formula intelligence metrics with supply chain, R&D, and market information for full operational visibility.
- Manage pilot programs for AI-powered digital twins simulating product formulations under varied regulatory and ingredient conditions.
- Provide expert advisory support to research, commercialization, and regulatory teams on formulation approval and development processes.
- Assist new team members by addressing gaps in product development affecting formula intelligence workflows.
- Enable timely formula approvals to support business-driven innovation pipelines.
- Collaborate with technical teams to resolve formulation challenges ensuring successful product launches.
- Lead enhancements of proprietary formula documentation and approval systems such as PICASSO and KOcreate.
- Support creation and deployment of new digital tools linking formula approval with product development procedures.
- Coordinate with IT and corporate governance for system upgrades ensuring data accuracy and integrity.
- Oversee ingredient and formulation data capture, evaluation, and maintenance in company internal databases.
- Maintain consistency and traceability of documentation across digital platforms.
- Work with data scientists and IT to augment formula management systems with predictive analytical dashboards.
- Design digital tools, operational guidelines, and training programs supporting formula intelligence activities.
- Act as liaison across R&D, SRA, QA, Supply Chain, and Innovation teams to guarantee alignment on formula intelligence requirements.
- Provide system, policy, and procedural training and support to internal stakeholders.
- Represent formula intelligence in cross-functional strategic meetings and initiatives.
Candidate Profile & Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Food Science, Chemistry, Biology, or related scientific disciplines; advanced degree preferred.
- Minimum 5 years in roles involving R&D, CPS, regulatory affairs, product development, or formula intelligence within food or beverage sectors.
- Solid experience managing approval workflows and utilizing digital systems for technical data handling.
Preferred Skills & Competencies
- In-depth expertise with formulation systems and governance workflows (e.g., PICASSO).
- Comprehensive knowledge of regulatory frameworks, ingredient composition, and proprietary data safeguarding.
- Proficiency in digital data management platforms and foundational statistical methods.
- Strong problem-solving capability with fast learning agility to analyze complex issues and develop compliant, innovative solutions.
- Experience working with analytical tools including R, Python, Tableau, or Power BI.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills tailored to diverse audiences.
