About the role
This opportunity is with Mercor, a company that connects highly experienced creative and technical professionals with AI research teams. The organization is based in San Francisco and is backed by investors including Benchmark, General Catalyst, Peter Thiel, Adam D'Angelo, Larry Summers, and Jack Dorsey.
The opening is for management and strategy consultants with backgrounds from leading firms. The work is remote and contract-based, with a commitment of 10 or more hours per week. Compensation is set at $100 per hour.
What you will do
- Research markets and review competitors to support strategic choices.
- Create business cases, operating models, and go-to-market plans for AI-related initiatives.
- Turn raw data into clear recommendations through slides, written briefs, and analytical models.
- Work with stakeholders to establish important metrics and decision points.
- Assist with strategic planning, scenario analysis, and assessment of new opportunities.
What we are looking for
- At least 1.5 years of experience at a top management consulting firm such as McKinsey, BCG, Bain, or another leading firm.
- Strong written and verbal communication abilities, along with solid analytical thinking.
- Ability to work independently in fast-changing or uncertain environments.
- Comfort using PowerPoint, Excel, and basic data analysis tools.
Preferred background
- Prior advisory experience in technology, AI, or SaaS businesses is a plus.
