Job Overview

A company located in Kentwood, MI, is seeking a skilled Maintenance Technician to join their team. This role involves the installation and upkeep of all production-related equipment to ensure smooth operation.

Work Schedule and Compensation

The shift is Monday through Thursday from 2:00 PM to 12:30 AM with a pay rate of $30 per hour.

Primary Responsibilities

• Conduct preventive maintenance on all equipment and machinery, including checking oil levels, lubricating, changing filters, and cleaning machines such as headers, rollers, and cleaners.
• Keep precise records of maintenance work performed.
• Report equipment issues and concerns promptly to the relevant personnel and departments.
• Maintain machines and equipment in a clean and orderly condition.
• Operate the oil reclaimer to separate and reuse clean oil.
• Perform hookups for production equipment including transformers, heading machines, rolling machines, heat treatment machines, and pipelines.
• Troubleshoot and resolve issues on all production machines.

Qualifications and Requirements

• Ability to read gauges and interpret their results accurately.
• Possession of a current Hilo license or qualification to obtain one.
• Comprehension of how machines function and operate.
• Ability to follow both verbal and written instructions effectively.
• Well-organized with the capability to work independently with minimal supervision.
