Work Location and Schedule

This position is based at the Calhoun facility, where Kerry operates within the Meat division producing hundreds of products for both Kerry and retail customers. The role is on a rotating night shift with hours from 5:45 PM to 6:15 AM following a 2-2-3 schedule. Initial training will be conducted on the day shift for approximately two to three months.

Role Responsibilities

• Perform building repairs and handle equipment installation and troubleshooting tasks.
• Complete assigned work orders and address unexpected repairs promptly.
• Maintain inventory accuracy and perform preventative maintenance routines.
• Ensure good housekeeping and adhere to all safety and environmental regulations.
• Uphold company commitment of “Safety First, Quality Always” to protect employees, products, and customers.
• Perform cleaning and lubrication tasks on machinery components such as shafts, bearings, and gears.
• Install and service piping systems, hydraulic, steam, and pneumatic equipment.
• Repair and replace instrumentation including gauges, valves, and pressure regulators.
• Conduct building maintenance duties, including minor plumbing, welding, and general upkeep.

Required Qualifications and Experience

• At least three years of experience in general maintenance.
• Minimum three years working with automation controls.
• Prior experience in manufacturing, preferably within the food or beverage industry.
• High school diploma or GED is mandatory; an associate degree in a related field is preferred.
• Technical proficiency or knowledge in areas such as stainless steel welding/fabrication, and sanitary welding certification or the ability to obtain it.
• Competence with piping systems, electrical systems, programmable logic controllers (PLCs), process control instrumentation, HVAC systems, and process equipment.
• Basic personal computing skills.

Compensation and Benefits

The position offers an hourly wage ranging between $30.00 and $39.00. Kerry is a pay-for-performance organization and compensation within this range depends on skills, qualifications, experience, and internal equity.
