Logistics Operational Specialist

Overview

We are looking for a highly organized and proactive Logistics Operational Specialist to assist with logistics and operational tasks for a prestigious football tournament taking place in Saudi Arabia from September 2026 to February 2027.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage daily logistics and operational functions ensuring smooth coordination.
• Support the development and execution of logistics plans and strategies.
• Create and maintain schedules and tracking tools for effective logistics management.
• Oversee transportation and movement of equipment, materials, and assets.
• Monitor delivery processes, installations, and removals to maintain timeliness.

Stakeholder and Vendor Relations

• Engage with suppliers, contractors, and service providers to ensure collaboration.
• Coordinate internally with various departments and teams for seamless operations.
• Monitor vendor performance against deliverables and deadlines.
• Communicate logistics requirements clearly across all involved parties.

Documentation and Reporting

• Maintain detailed logistics trackers, reports, and updates.
• Prepare and submit daily and weekly operational status reports.
• Document any logistics challenges along with the resolutions and follow-up actions.
• Ensure all records and documents are filed properly for audit and reference.

Operational Support On-Site

• Provide logistics assistance throughout the tournament duration on the ground.
• Help address and resolve operational and logistical issues promptly.
• Ensure adherence to timelines and smooth handling of last-minute requests.
• Coordinate urgent needs and adjustments efficiently.

Compliance and Quality

• Confirm all logistics actions comply with operational plans and standards.
• Support safety protocols and procedural compliance during operations.
• Identify risks, delays, or bottlenecks early to mitigate impact.
• Escalate critical concerns to appropriate personnel when necessary.

Candidate Requirements

• Prior experience in logistics, operations, or coordination roles is required.
• Familiarity with FIFO (First In, First Out) logistics methodology is essential.
• Applicants should be based in Riyadh, Khobar, Jeddah, or be willing to relocate to these locations.

Preferred Experience

• Background in supporting major sports tournaments or international sporting events.
• Experience in logistics for stadiums, venue management, or large-scale event infrastructure projects.
• Expertise in managing logistics operations across multiple event venues is highly valued.
