Role overview
A global manufacturing business with operations across multiple countries is looking for a Logistics & Inventory Clerk to support its supply chain team in Dublin. The role suits someone who is detail-focused, proactive, and comfortable working in a busy environment where accurate stock control and smooth goods movement are essential.
This is a permanent, full-time position based in Dublin South. The working pattern is hybrid, with 3 days in the office/on-site and 2 days working remotely. Standard hours are 8:00am to 5:00pm.
Logistics coordination
- Manage inbound deliveries from overseas production sites and outside suppliers.
- Check incoming shipments against purchase orders and transport paperwork.
- Record goods receipts accurately and keep all supporting documents organised.
- Work with suppliers, freight companies, warehouse partners, and internal teams to help ensure deliveries arrive on time and correctly.
- Help keep goods moving efficiently through the supply chain.
Inventory management
- Keep inventory data accurate in the company ERP system.
- Handle stock-related transactions such as receipts, transfers, and adjustments.
- Carry out cycle counts on a regular basis and support yearly stock audits.
- Look into stock differences and help resolve them so inventory stays accurate.
- Track stock levels and assist with replenishment where needed.
Administration and reporting
- Maintain logistics and inventory records in ERP platforms such as SAP, Oracle, or similar systems.
- Prepare inventory and logistics reports in Microsoft Excel.
- Keep records accurate and aligned with internal procedures and compliance standards.
- Suggest ways to improve stock accuracy and streamline logistics processes.
Collaboration
- Partner with Procurement, Supply Chain, Customer Operations, Finance, warehouse teams, and overseas manufacturing groups to support effective operations.
- Answer inventory and logistics queries in a timely manner.
- Support continuous improvement efforts across supply chain activities.
Health, safety, and compliance
- Follow all company health, safety, and environmental policies.
- Maintain a neat, orderly, and compliant receiving and inventory control process.
- Ensure inventory work is completed in line with quality and compliance requirements.
Experience and skills
The ideal candidate will have prior experience in logistics, inventory, supply chain, or warehouse administration. Background in manufacturing, distribution, or broader supply chain environments would be an advantage. Strong ERP system knowledge and solid Excel skills are important, along with excellent organisation, attention to detail, communication, and problem-solving ability. The role also requires someone who can manage several priorities in a fast-paced setting and work well both independently and as part of a team.
