Position Overview

ComtecNova North America is looking for a Logistics & Demand Planning Manager based in Dallas-Fort Worth, Texas. This full-time role is responsible for overseeing demand forecasting, inventory management, inbound logistics, warehouse coordination, and ensuring efficient customer deliveries throughout North America. The role acts as a vital liaison among Sales, Product Management, Finance, Customer Service, warehouses, suppliers, and the company’s global manufacturing teams.

Primary Duties

  • Lead the monthly demand planning covering various product categories, customers, channels, and regions.
  • Produce rolling sales forecasts considering historical data, customer input, pipeline activities, seasonal trends, promotions, new product launches, and market conditions.
  • Collaborate closely with Sales and Product Management to confirm forecast assumptions and detect changes in customer demand.
  • Evaluate forecast accuracy and bias, taking corrective measures as needed.
  • Present demand, inventory, supply, and risk scenarios during monthly Sales and Operations Planning meetings.
  • Convert sales forecasts into purchase and replenishment requirements.
  • Define inventory goals including safety stock levels, reorder points, and stocking methods.
  • Monitor inventory metrics such as availability, turns, days of inventory on hand, backorders, excess, and obsolete stock.

  • Maintain accurate purchase order scheduling and supply planning data in ERP systems.
  • Assist in supplier performance evaluations focused on delivery, quality, responsiveness, and cost.

  • Work closely with Customer Service and Sales to ensure timely and accurate fulfillment of customer orders.

  • Background in product-based businesses involving physical inventory and international suppliers.
  • Strong skills in forecasting, data analysis, inventory planning, and problem solving.
  • Experience managing relationships with freight forwarders, warehouses, carriers, customs brokers, or third-party logistics services.
  • Thorough knowledge of purchasing, lead times, safety stock, inventory turnover, landed cost, and order fulfillment.
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel including pivot tables, lookups, data analysis, and forecasting models.
  • Experience with ERP, MRP, inventory management or demand planning software.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills.
  • Ability to work effectively across various departments including Sales, Finance, Product Management, Customer Service, and global teams.
  • Strong detail orientation and capacity to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
