Role Overview

The Logistics & Operations Coordinator plays a pivotal role in managing the daily U.S. logistics operations at Thom Browne and acts as a vital link between North America and the Switzerland central Logistics team. Responsibilities include overseeing inbound and outbound shipments, facilitating customs and compliance processes, maintaining effective communication with warehouse and transportation partners, and supporting a variety of internal departments such as Retail, Wholesale, E-Commerce, and Marketing. This role ensures smooth operational logistics support for store initiatives, inventory projects, and special events.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee coordination and monitoring of both domestic and international shipments inbound and outbound.
• Collaborate with the e-commerce team to manage warehouse operations effectively.
• Act as the main contact point for logistics queries and operational assistance.
• Work alongside freight forwarders, couriers, customs brokers, and warehousing providers to ensure punctual shipment handling.
• Support import and export activities including customs clearances and compliance with regulations.
• Compile and maintain necessary shipping and export paperwork.
• Investigate and address transportation, customs, and delivery challenges promptly.
• Handle claims regarding lost or damaged shipments and coordinate related reimbursements.
• Perform regular visits to warehouses and offer hands-on support as required.
• Assist with annual physical inventory counts and efforts to improve inventory accuracy.
• Support various logistics projects including store openings, events, runway shows, photoshoots, and other special initiatives.
• Work closely with global partners in Switzerland to maintain aligned processes and continuity.
• Assist with reporting, compliance tracking, and SOX-related logistics controls.

Ideal Candidate Profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Supply Chain, Finance, or related disciplines.
• 3 to 5+ years of experience in logistics, transportation, supply chain management, or related operational fields.
• In-depth understanding of domestic and international shipping procedures.
• Experienced in import/export protocols, customs regulations, and transport documentation.
• Proficient with SAP software systems.
• Familiar with managing warehouses, distribution centers, and third-party logistics providers.
• Strong organizational, problem-solving, and communication skills.
• Capable of managing numerous priorities in a dynamic, fast-moving environment.
• Knowledge of SOX compliance and controls is preferred.
• Italian language skills are an advantage.
• Physical ability to lift and carry up to 45 pounds; comfortable standing, walking, bending, and moving in warehouse settings.
• Willing to travel domestically about once per month.
• Ready to participate in hands-on operational tasks including annual inventory counts.
