Job Overview
The role requires delivering expert support across a wide array of Acquisition & Sustainment (A&AS) activities supporting SDACP, BMC3, and related mission partner weapon system lifecycle management. The individual will provide expertise in engineering, program management, contracting, logistics, operations, and administrative tasks while collaborating with the Government throughout the entire lifecycle of projects. Experience with classified space acquisition programs is essential, and possessing an active security clearance is mandatory.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop product support strategies that align with acquisition goals and define necessary infrastructure, procedures, and processes to uphold system operational capabilities.
- Integrate system engineering design metrics (e.g., reliability and maintainability) with logistics and integrated product support functions to determine required support resources.
- Coordinate the 12 product support elements alongside procurement and budgeting strategies to effectively manage logistics operations that sustain system deployment.
Skills and Qualifications
- Comprehensive knowledge of Federal, DoD, Air Force, and SSC contracting policies and processes.
- Proven ability to support government contract actions including solicitations, managing change proposals, handling funding adjustments, and overseeing awards or incentive fees.
- Previous experience as a Procuring Contracting Officer (PCO) or buyer is preferable.
- Highly desirable is experience with SSC or mission partner programs focused on space control or space situational awareness.
Additional Information
This position's engagement depends on contract award.
Salary range complies with California's Equal Pay for Equal Work Act, starting between $185,000 and $200,000 annually. Salary offers consider experience, education, key skills, location, and contractual demands.
