Local Delivery Driver - Wilmington

Job Summary

This role focuses on preparing, loading, and delivering customer orders for local accounts. The driver is also expected to provide strong service throughout each delivery, follow assigned routes, and complete basic delivery-related tasks.

When there are no deliveries or during slower periods, the person in this position supports store operations by helping with day-to-day material handling duties.

What You’ll Do

• Sort, organize, and load prepared orders into the delivery van correctly.
• Complete scheduled delivery runs in the morning and afternoon.
• Deliver products to customer locations in a courteous and professional manner.
• Direct customer questions to the sales team when needed.
• Keep the delivery vehicle clean and orderly.

Physical Demands

• The job requires standing and/or walking for as long as 9 hours per day.
• You must be able to communicate clearly through speech, vision, and hearing.
• The role involves frequent use of hands for both basic gripping and precise handling.
• Regular bending, squatting, crawling, climbing, and reaching are part of the work.
• You must be able to lift, carry, push, or pull medium loads of up to 50 lbs on a regular basis.

Experience

• A Class C driver’s license and a clean driving record are required.

Education
