Role Overview
As a Live In Care Worker, your primary responsibilities will include providing comprehensive care, support, and companionship to individuals who require assistance with daily living activities, predominantly older adults who prefer to remain in their own homes. Your role is essential in maintaining their safety, health, and well-being by assisting with personal care and daily routines.
Typical Daily Activities
- Assist individuals in their morning routine, including helping them get up, washed, and dressed, adapting methods based on their unique needs, which may involve use of specialized equipment like hoists.
- Support meal preparation and ensure proper medication administration to maintain health and nutrition throughout the day.
- Engage in planning daily activities such as attending appointments, social outings, and household chores including cleaning and shopping.
- Provide companionship throughout the day, monitoring health regularly and ensuring comfort.
- Facilitate evening routines including meals, personal hygiene, and preparation for rest with activities such as reading or watching favorite television programs.
