Role Summary
We are seeking a motivated and detail-focused Level 1 Underwriter to join our expanding underwriting division. This opportunity is ideal for individuals aiming to build a long-term career in commercial insurance while gaining practical exposure in a technology-oriented and innovative environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Review and preliminarily qualify broker-submitted applications.
- Input and maintain prospective client information in underwriting databases.
- Prepare submissions for evaluation by senior underwriting staff.
- Engage with broker partners to address underwriting inquiries.
- Offer suggestions to enhance underwriting efficiency, automation, and client experience.
- Assist the underwriting team with additional related duties as needed.
Candidate Profile
- Applicants must be Australian residents; exceptions require direct written request.
- Currently enrolled or recently graduated in Business, Management, Finance, Insurance, or compatible fields.
- Strong attention to detail coupled with excellent organizational capabilities.
- Effective communication and relationship management skills.
- Comfortable adapting to new technologies and systems.
