Role Overview
The Learning Experience Lead will be responsible for designing comprehensive educational experiences that align business objectives with learning outcomes. This role entails leveraging strong instructional design expertise, experimenting with innovative methodologies, and contributing to the continuous enhancement of the instructional team, all without managing direct reports.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the complete lifecycle of learning experience design, including opportunity identification through to outcome measurement.
- Create fresh course content especially for emerging fields like artificial intelligence, where no established best practices exist.
- Integrate AI tools throughout the instructional design process for research, prototype development, content creation, validation, and refinement.
- Select and justify instructional methods based on learner needs and company goals, rather than adhering to preset instructions.
- Set and track success indicators, analyze learner data, and iteratively enhance educational solutions.
- Conduct rapid prototyping, experimentation, and refinement using cutting-edge AI workflows and vibe coding.
- Coach other designers to elevate overall team skill and quality.
- Identify and reform ineffective instructional patterns to establish scalable, high-quality standards.
- Document and foster ongoing development of instructional design guidelines within the team.
Qualifications
- At least three years of practical instructional design experience, particularly in IT education.
- Proven history of independently developing and launching complete educational programs or courses.
- Strong familiarity with AI technologies used to enhance instructional design workflows.
- Ability to thrive in vague, fast-changing environments, especially concerning AI-related content.
- Experience in defining measurable learning outcomes and applying data-driven improvements.
- Skill in choosing and advocating for instructional techniques backed by learner insights and business context.
- Highly autonomous with a strong sense of ownership and creative problem-solving.
- Experience mentoring and improving instructional design competencies within a team.
- Enthusiastic about innovation, rapid iteration, and continuous improvement in education design.
