Position Overview

We are seeking dedicated individuals for full-time and part-time Lead Barista positions based on-site at Lucky Goat Coffee in Destin, FL. The role involves preparing and serving specialty coffee and café beverages, operating espresso and brewing equipment, and strictly adhering to café recipes and standards. You will greet customers, take orders, process payments, and ensure efficient and friendly service throughout. Maintaining well-stocked supplies and a clean, organized café environment is essential. You will also follow food safety and hygiene protocols, assist with opening and closing tasks, collaborate with teammates during busy times, and contribute to a warm atmosphere for all guests.

Qualifications and Skills Required

• Proficient in preparing coffee and café beverages following precise recipes, operating espresso machines and brewing equipment with a focus on maintaining quality and consistency.
• Excellent customer service capabilities, including clear communication, welcoming demeanor, and the ability to interact positively with a diverse customer base.
• Reliable handling of cash and point-of-sale technology with accurate order processing and basic arithmetic skills.
• Physical stamina to be on your feet for prolonged durations, lift and carry inventory, and manage a fast-paced café environment efficiently.
• Strong organizational skills to keep your workstation clean, complete opening and closing procedures, and ensure compliance with food safety and hygiene rules.
• Team collaboration skills, ability to follow instructions, and fostering a respectful, positive, and inclusive work culture.
• Flexible schedule availability including mornings, weekends, and holidays; prior experience in café, restaurant, or retail settings is advantageous.
• Passion for specialty coffee and eagerness to learn about brewing methods, tasting notes, and Lucky Goat's product offerings.
