Labourer - Edmonton

Overview

KBL Environmental Ltd. is looking for a competent Labourer to assist with projects based in the Edmonton region. This role involves supporting operators and supervisors to ensure site safety and efficiency through cleaning, materials handling, and routine tool and equipment maintenance. Labourers may also operate equipment such as rock trucks and packers. Projects include demolition, remediation, and reclamation efforts.

Key Responsibilities

• Maintain cleanliness on construction sites.
• Conduct routine maintenance on tools and equipment, including loading and unloading machinery.
• Operate heavy machinery safely and effectively.
• Utilize hand tools, manage materials movement, and assist fellow workers on site.
• Adhere strictly to safety protocols and promote a safe working environment.

Candidate Requirements

• Possess 1 to 2 years of experience in a similar labor-intensive role.
• Hold a valid Class 5 driver's license.
• Capable of performing physically strenuous tasks like lifting up to 55 lbs, working in confined spaces, at heights, and standing for long periods.
• Demonstrate strong mechanical understanding, problem-solving abilities, and teamwork skills.
• Exhibit excellent verbal communication skills to effectively exchange information in a fast-paced setting.
• Willingness and ability to travel within Western Canada to various work locations.
• Ability to work under various weather conditions including extreme temperatures.
• Flexible to work day and night shifts, potentially up to 12 hours per shift.
