Role Overview

We are seeking a Laboratory Technician to play a key role in the advancement of next-generation building materials. This hands-on position entails sample preparation, formulation experimentation, product testing, data collection, and analysis. Collaborating closely with scientists, chemists, and engineers, you will operate laboratory instruments, maintain meticulous records, and present findings to help continuously improve and upscale new products.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support the innovation of carbon-negative construction materials through laboratory assistance.
  • Perform formulation development and conduct comprehensive product testing.
  • Collect, analyze, and interpret extensive data sets related to material performance.
  • Effectively communicate laboratory results to cross-functional teams.
  • Uphold rigorous standards of lab organization, cleanliness, and safety.

Candidate Profile

  • Practical experience working in a laboratory or workshop environment, preferably within the building or construction sectors.
  • Educational background in STEM disciplines.
  • A curious, goal-oriented mindset with a dedication to purposeful work.
  • Exceptional attention to detail and commitment to data accuracy.
  • Positive attitude coupled with eagerness to learn and grow professionally.
  • Proficiency using basic data analysis and reporting tools.

Employment Details

This is a permanent, full-time role based onsite at Lyde Green, Bristol. The workweek consists of 37 hours. Candidate availability will influence the start date, which is as soon as possible.
