Stellenbeschreibung
Position overview
For an EDEKA store in Lüneburg, we are looking for a cook to support the lunch service and event catering areas. The role is a great fit for someone who enjoys working with fresh ingredients, developing new food ideas, and sharing a passion for good cuisine with customers and colleagues.
Work location and start
Location: Lüneburg, Lower Saxony, Germany. The role starts immediately. The listing indicates full-time as the main working model; part-time may also be possible.
Your responsibilities
- Take ownership of the lunch menu and independently turn your culinary ideas into varied, fresh dishes.
- Handle food preparation through to serving in a structured and self-reliant way, while maintaining attractive counters and appealing product presentation.
- Plan and deliver culinary appearances for events and seasonal promotions, representing the store with your own personal style.
- Interact directly with guests, provide service-oriented support, and uphold strict hygiene and quality standards.
- Organize ingredient usage, place orders according to demand, and use materials and resources responsibly.
What we are looking for
We welcome applicants with a strong interest in food and customer interaction. Formal vocational training is not mandatory, so career changers are explicitly encouraged to apply. Experience in a kitchen, catering, or food-service environment is helpful, but motivation and a hands-on attitude matter just as much.
- Genuine enthusiasm for food, enjoyment in working with ingredients, and the ability to inspire customers through cooking.
- A service-minded approach, with confidence in advising guests and responding to individual wishes.
- Ideally some experience in gastronomy, catering, or market food service.
- Reliable, organized, and independent working style, even when things get busy.
- Strong awareness of cleanliness, order, presentation, hygiene, and responsible handling of goods and resources.
Additional information
Career changers are very welcome. The employer emphasizes that passion and enthusiasm for fresh food and customer contact are more important than a completed apprenticeship.
